I used to purchase 40G AOC from Fibermart, they can make both ends into different compatibilities, so I guess it should be applied for 40G to 4*10G AOC, I tried one, one end for Juniper QFX10008, 10G for F5 BIG-IP 2000, it's great. This can't be achieved by other original vendors. I believe I can use it for other different switches too.
