Find Your Cisco X3000 Router IP Address

We need to know the Internal IP Address of your Cisco X3000 router before we can login to it.

If you did not see your router’s ip address in the list above. There are 2 additional ways that you can determine your router’s IP address:

Now that you have your router’s Internal IP Address we are ready to login to it.

 Login to the Cisco X3000 Router

The Cisco X3000 has a web interface for configuration. You can use any web browser you like to login to the Cisco X3000. In this example we’ll use Internet Explorer.

Enter Cisco X3000 Internal IP Address

Put the Internal IP Address of your Cisco X3000 in the Address Bar of your web browser. It looks like this:

Then press the Enter key on your keyboard. You should see a dialog box pop up asking your for your Cisco X3000 username and password.

You need to know the username and password to login to your Cisco X3000. All of the default usernames and passwords for the Cisco X3000 are listed below.

Enter your username and password in the dialog box that pops up. It looks like this:

You should now see the Cisco X3000 Home Screen, which looks like this.

If you see this screen, then congratulations, you are now logged in to your Cisco X3000. You are now ready to follow one of our other guides.

Cisco X3000 Login Problems

Forgot Password to Cisco X3000 Router

If your Internet Service Provider supplied you with your router then you might want to try giving them a call and see if they either know what your router’s username and password are, or maybe they can reset it for you.

Change the LAN IP Address on a Cisco X3000

If you followed our login guide above then you should see this screen. After logging into the Cisco X3000 you see the Status page. Click the grey tab in the upper left side of the screen labeled Setup, then Basic Setup. This is the page you need to be on to change your IP Address.

Configure the LAN section of your Cisco X3000

To change your local IP Address, the address you see while in your network, scroll down the screen until you come to the box labeled IP Address. Enter the new address you have chosen here. In these screenshots someone has used the address of 192.168.1.1, this is a very good choice, and we recommend you using this also.

The DHCP Server should be left enabled, this allows the Router to choose these for you. You should also leave the Subnet Mask at 255.255.255.0

When you are completely finished, make sure to click Reboot to save all the changes you have made.
Possible Problems when Changing your LAN IP Address

When you change your LAN IP Address you are making a fundamental change to how your network functions and all computers on your network will be affected. You will lose your Internet connection when you apply these changes. Your router may reboot and require a couple of minutes to start responding again.

Also note that some computers may need to be rebooted after you make this change before they can talk to the router or on the Internet again.
