Polarization Maintaining Optical Switches

Fibermart Polarization-maintaining (PM) Optical switches are mostly used in the telecommunications, network technology, sensor and measurement technology. Fiber-MART.COM offers PM switches for all standard PM fibers with module, bentchtop, rack mount or mini packages.

These PM optical switch are available in different configurations – from 1x1 (on/off switches) to n x m (matrix switches) – making it possible to achieve configurations such as, for example, 1x2, 1x4, 1x8, 1x16, 1x32, 1x64, 2x2, or 2x4 pm optical switches. The Fibermart Polarization-maintaining optical switch works at 630nm, 780nm, 980nm, 1310nm or 1550nm center wavelengths.

The insertion loss IL of PM switches typically lies between 0.4 dB and 1.2 dB, primarily depending on the type of fiber and the switch configuration. Extinction Ratio (dB) ≥ 18dB. The Fibermart switches can be delivered with any of standard fiber connector systems.
