MPO Trunk Cable

Fibermart MPO Trunk Cable in 8-576 Fibers at Custom Lengths for Your High-density Optical Network!

MPO trunk cable are designed for high density application which offers excellent benefits in terms on-site installation time and space saving. Fiber-Mart provides 12 to 576 fiber (core) MTP / MPO trunk cable which support both 12-strand and 24-strand in single-mode or multi-mode. The trunk cable assemblies are composed of high quality LSZH jacketed fiber optic cables, connecting equipment in racks to MTP/MPO backbone cables. FiberMART Cable, mpo/mtp trunk cable, MTP / MPO trunk cable are factory pre-terminated, tested and packed along with the test reports. We also provide Customized Service such as cable lengths, meanwhile mpo/mtp trunk cable, 40G/100G MTP/MPO cable solutions are available. Buy cable mpo, Buy mpo cable at Fibermart!

Introduction

Fibermart's MPO Trunk Cable is a high-density, factory-pre-terminated solution engineered to meet the demanding connectivity requirements of modern data centers and high-performance optical networks. Designed with configurations ranging from 8 to 576 fibers, these trunk cables are the definitive backbone for creating scalable and efficient infrastructure. By integrating multiple fibers within a single, robust cable and terminating them with standardized MTP/MPO connectors, they dramatically reduce installation complexity, save valuable rack space, and provide a plug-and-play pathway for supporting data rates from 10G to 400G and beyond.

Features

● Available in a wide range of fiber counts from 8 to 576 cores, supporting both MPO-12, MPO-16, MPO-24 and MPO-32 connectors.

● Offered in both single-mode (9/125µm) and multimode (OM3, OM4, OM5) for long-distance transmission or wide-bandwidth, short-reach applications.

● Every assembly is pre-terminated with precision MPO connectors, 100% Tested with individual Certificate & Testing Report to guarantee high performance.

● Engineered for low signal insertion loss of ≤0.35 dB per mated pair and high reliability to support 10G, 40G, 100G, and 400G transmission standards.

● Features high-quality LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) or OFNP Plenum-Rated jackets for safety and durability. Small bend radius (e.g., 7.5mm) for easier routing.

● Supports custom lengths, specific connector Pins (male/female), and polarity types (Type A/B/C) to seamlessly integrate into any structured cabling design.

● All products are designed and manufactured in compliance with ISO9001 and are CE, RoHS, FCC compliant, ensuring reliability and environmental safety.

Principles

An MPO (Multi-fiber Push-On) Trunk Cable operates on the principle of parallel optics and modular connectivity. Unlike traditional single-fiber patch cords, it consolidates multiple optical fibers (typically 12 or 24) into a single, compact ribbon or cable structure. These fibers are precisely aligned and terminated en masse within a single MPO connector ferrule using factory polishing techniques.

The cable functions as a modular backbone segment. It is designed to connect MPO-based patch panels or modules in network racks, creating a high-fiber-count "highway." Light signals travel simultaneously down each independent fiber within the cable. This parallel approach allows for a single connection action to establish multiple optical links, which is fundamental for technologies like 40G, 100G, and 400G Ethernet that use multiple lanes of traffic. The factory pre-termination ensures each fiber end-face is polished to an exact optical standard, resulting in consistently low insertion loss and high performance that is difficult to achieve with field terminations.

MPO for High Density Data Centers

Applications

● Data Center Structured Cabling:Connect main distribution area (MDA) switches to intermediate distribution area (IDA) or equipment distribution area (EDA).

● High-Speed Network Interconnect: Supporting 40G/100G QSFP+ and QSFP28, and forming the physical layer infrastructure for evolving 400G and 800G networks.

● High-Density Fiber-to-the-Server: Deploying in top-of-rack (ToR) or end-of-row (EoR) designs to connect servers and storage arrays to aggregation switches.

● AI/ML Compute Clusters and HPC: Providing ultra-high-density, low-latency interconnect required for linking servers and switches in AI and IT computings.

● Telecommunications Central Offices and MDA: Used for efficient, high-capacity inter-rack and inter-bay connections.
