Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing (CWDM) is the technology of choice for cost efficiently transporting large amounts of data traffic in telecoms or enterprise networks. Optical networking and especially the use of CWDM technology has proven to be the most cost efficient way of addressing this requirement.
CWDM typically has the capability to transport up to 16 channels (wavelengths) in the spectrum grid from 1270 nm to 1610 nm with a 20 nm channel spacing. Each channel can operate at either 2.5, 4 or 10 Gbit/s. CWDM can not be amplified as most of the channels are outside the operating window of the Erbium Doped Fibre Amplifier (EDFA) used in Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) systems. This results in a shorter overall system reach of approximately 100 kilometers. However, due to the broader channel spacing in CWDM, cheaper un-cooled lasers are used, giving a cost advantage over DWDM systems.
Fiber-Mart CWDM optical networking solutions provide a single, flexible, and reliable method to increase capacity in Metro and Access networks to support new broadband serbices or expand broadband access to new areas.
CWDM MUX/DEMUX Solutions

Fiber-Mart CWDM Mux/Demux is a universal device capable of multiplex multiple CWDM (1270~1610nm) up to 18 channels or optical signals into a fiber pair or single fiber. Fibersotre provide full complete configuration such as 2, 4, 5, 8, 9, 16, 18 channels. Optional wide band for existing 1310nm or 1550nm to multiplex with these CWDM channels. Packaging options include stand-alone single filters for quick splicing into existing splice trays as well as multiple indoor and outdoor preconnectorization or traditional splicing which fully utilize with the existing equipments. Together with our CWDM transceivers or the wavelength converters, the bandwidth of the fiber can be utilized in a cost effective way. Fiber-MART unique product designs provide excellent network organization while ensuring quick deployment and easy maintenance.
Fiber-Mart CWDM multiplexer and demultiplexer, CWDM multiplexer only, and CWDM demultiplexer only are flexible, low-cost solutions that enable the expansion of existing fiber capacity and let operators make full of use of available fiber bandwidth in local loop and enterprise architectures.
Fiber-Mart test systems ensure sufficient margins for bitrates up to 10 Gb/s and beyond. CWDM systems are protocol and bitrate transparent.

CWDM OADM Solutions
One of the most important parts of a flexible CWDM system is the CWDM Optical Add/ Drop Multiplexer (OADM). CWDM OADM is designed to optical add/drop one multiple CWDM channels into one or two fibers. CWDM OADMs are the ideal solution for the increasing bandwidth demand on enterprise and metro access networks. ESCON (Enterprise Systems Connection), ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode), Fibre Channel, Gigabit-Ethernet are supported simultaneously, without disturbing each other.

Fiber-Mart CWDM OADMs are available in standalone 19'' Rack mount, LGX module and Field module packing. No matter your network has one or two fibers, redundant network, ring or linear network design etc, we can supply best OADM configurations to tailor fit your network architect.

CWDM Transceiver Solutions
Fiber-Mart CWDM transceiver optics, including CWDM SFP (Small Form Pluggable) Optics, CWDM SFP+ (Enhance Small Form Pluggable) optics, CWDM XFP (10 Gigabit Small Form Factor Pluggable) optics, provide scalable and easy-to-deploy Gigabit Ethernet (GbE, or GE) and Fibre Channel (FC) services in optical networks. These products enable the design of flexible multiservice networks. The CWDM optics consists of three sections: an uncooled CWDM DFB laser transmitter, a PIN photodiode integrated with a trans-impedance preamplifier (TIA) and MCU control unit. There are 18 center wavelengths available from 1270 nm to 1610 nm, with each step 20 nm. These wavelengths are compliant to the ITU G.694 CWDM standard.
