MTP Breakout CableFind a Variety of MTP Breakout Cable with Custom Lengths and FREE Shipping at Fibermart!
MTP-LC Breakout Cable, MTP-LC Harness Cable are designed for high density applications with require high performance and speedy installation, also called MTP Breakout Cable or MTP Fanout Cable. The MTP 12 cables work from trunk backbone assemblies to fiber rack system in the high density backbone cabling. As terminated with MTP connectors - US Conec on one end and standard LC/FC/SC/ST/MTRJ connectors (generally MTP to LC), mtp to lc cable on the other end, these cable assemblies can meet a variety of fiber cabling requirements. Fiber-MART MTP harness cables' fiber (core) counts are available in 8 to 144. We also provide Customized Service such as optional cable lengths to meet specific installation environments. Buy mtp to lc cable or MTP 12 Cables at Fibermart.
Introduction
Fibermart MTP Breakout Cable featuring US Conec MTP connector is a factory-terminated, high-density interconnect solution engineered to bridge high-capacity MTP backbone systems with standard LC, SC, or ST equipment ports. Also known as MTP Fanout or Harness Cables, they efficiently convert a single high-fiber-count MTP connector into multiple individual duplex or simplex connections. Supporting customizable fiber counts from 8 to 144 cores and available in both single-mode and multimode (OM3/OM4/OM5) variants, these cables enable rapid, plug-and-play deployment. They are the definitive solution for simplifying cable management, optimizing rack space, and facilitating seamless network upgrades from 10G and 40G to 100G, 400G, and beyond in modern data centers .
Features
● Converts 12-fiber or 24-fiber MTP connector into multiple LC/SC/ST duplex (e.g., MTP-12 to 6xLC, MTP-24 to 12xLC), from 8 to 144F for flexible connectivity . ● Available in OS2 single-mode for long-distance and OM3/OM4/OM5 multimode for wide-bandwidth applications, insertion loss ≤0.35 dB for MTP connectors. ● High-quality Corning® bend-insensitive fiber with a minimum bend radius of 7.5mm for easier routing, and offers Plenum (OFNP) or LSZH jackets. ● Supports custom cable lengths and key polarity types (A, B, or C) to ensure correct transmit/receive channel alignment in structured cabling systems. ● Stable performance across a wide operating temperature range (e.g., -10°C to +70°C) and tested to tensile loads (up to 240N short-term), ensuring durability. ● 100% Tested with individual Testing Report, CE, RoHS, FCC, ISO9001 Certificated for each unit to ensure High performance and Zero Failure in Lifetime Warranty.
Principles
MTP Breakout Cables operate on the principle of fanning out a single, high-density parallel optical link into multiple independent duplex channels. On one end, the cable terminates with an MTP connector, which interfaces with MTP-based transceivers (like QSFP modules) or patch panels in the backbone. This connector houses 12 or 24 optical fibers within a single ferrule, designed for simultaneous multi-lane data transmission used in 40G, 100G, and 400G Ethernet.
Internally, each individual fiber from the MTP ferrule is precisely routed and terminated to its own dedicated LC, SC, or ST connector on the opposite end. This physical separation allows the aggregated parallel data stream from the network spine to be distributed to multiple individual switch or server ports. The cable acts as a passive, point-to-point adapter, eliminating the need for external modules or patch panels to perform this conversion, thereby maximizing port utilization, reducing connection points, and minimizing potential points of failure.
Applications
● Data Center Top-of-Rack (ToR) Connectivity: Directly connecting a high-speed 40G/100G/400G QSFP port on an aggregation switch to multiple 10G/25G/50G SFP ports on servers within the same rack. ● Network Infrastructure Migration and Upgrades: ● High-Density Structured Cabling in Main Distribution Areas ● Telecommunications and Enterprise Network Cross-Connects
